SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Fire Department, in just over 10 minutes after its arrival, put out a fire that was restricted to a bathroom within a Druid Hill Road home. No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.

Responding to a report of smoke at 32 Druid Hill Road at 4:04 p.m. on Wednesday, crews determined upon arrival that there was a fire in a bathroom on the second floor of the structure. The visible fire was extinguished by 4:15 p.m., and declared under control at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The Summit Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Summit Police Department, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad and Millburn Fire Department. Apparatus from Union Fire Department and Springfield Fire Department provide coverage at fire headquarters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Summit Fire Department Investigation Unit.
