SUMMIT, NJ - In preparation for the spring scholastic sports season, the Summit Department of Public Works (DPW) -- a division of the Summit Department of Community Services -- has begun the process of clearing snow from the synthetic turf, multi-sport fields located at Investors Bank Field at Tatlock.

With the spring season set to begin next week, DPW is working to clear the fields while combating frigid temperatures.  Leading this project is Chris Holenstein, Assistant Superintendent of Public Works for the City of Summit. The equipment being used includes a Trackless MT complete with a snow blower which is powered by a 110 horsepower diesel engine.
