SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Teams both suffered losses in the NJSIAA Tournament, eliminating them from the competition and ending their respective seasons.
The Girls dropped a 4-0 decision to top-seeded West Morris Central, who applied early and constant attacking pressure on the Hilltoppers, scoring twice in the opening ten minutes of the game, another before halftime, and a fourth in the second half.
Summit finished the season with a record of 11-8-1.
The Boys took a 1-nil first half lead versus Middletown North, but saw the wheels come off in the second half, surrendering three goals. Andres Chacon -- assisted by Jafeth Reyes -- scored for the Hilltoppers, who finished the season 15-5-2.
