SUMMIT, NJ - Despite 20 points from Cassidy O'Malley and an 11-point first quarter lead, the Summit High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team was defeated by Patrick School, 60-54, at the Main Gym.
Qadashah Hoppie scored 25 points, and Shamachya Duncan had 10, as Patrick School stormed back from a 19-8 deficit to outscore the Hilltoppers 22-10 in the second to take a one-point halftime lead.
The game stayed close through the second half and into the fourth quarter, but Patrick School hit a key-three ball to put them ahead to stay.
Catherine Maloney added 15 points and 8 rebounds for Summit, now 4-2 on the season,  The Hilltoppers next travel to face AL Johnson January 7. The game tips-off at 7 p.m.
