SUMMIT, NJ - In a meet that was essentially a dead heat the entire way, the Summit High School Gymnastics team eked out a 104.3 - 104 victory over AL Johnson at The Connection.

Training 26.825 - 26.25 after vault, the Hilltoppers put forth a strong performance on bars, with Abby Claus' 8.823 leading all competitors, followed closely by Alysia Lopez's 8.8. Ginny Collins delivers a 8.025 and Summit won the apparatus by 1.05 which, given the margin between the teams on the night, proved to be massive.

Beam was virtually a dead heat, with the Crusaders earning a .2 victory, 26.2 - 25.9. Claus and Collins finished 2-3, behind AL Johnson's Gina Ferdinandi, and the teams headed to the floor exercise with Summit leading 77.8 - 77.525.
