SUMMIT, NJ - Hilltopper soccer and lacrosse standout Anna Turk was selected to represent Summit High School at "Fair Play, Play IX," the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
The event, sponsored by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), annually salutes the state’s top female athletes, with New Jersey high school and colleges invited to nominate one of their top athletes to be recognized at the event, celebrating the many achievements of girls and women in sports.
“Anna was a starter on our State Championship lacrosse team last spring and was selected by her peers as a captain for the upcoming season," said Mike Walsh, Summit Girls Head Lacrosse Coach. "She epitomizes the student-athlete. Her leadership and organizational skills are outstanding. I can think of no better example of the benefit of sport for young women than Anna Turk. We are proud of her.”
