SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School Speech and Debate Team hosted the Borelli Memorial Tournament -- honoring and named after the late forensics coach Vincent Borelli -- on the Kent Place Boulevard campus, with Hiltopper Varsity Team members working diligently throughout the day-long tourney in concessions, at the ballot and information tables, along with serving as runners and hall monitors.

Borelli passionately championed forensic students and advocated for the educational value of speech and debate. Proceeds from the Borelli Memorial Tournament fund scholarships awarded to champions in each event at the NJSDL State Tournament in  March.

A Summit squad comprised predominantly of Novice team members competed in the tournament and earned outstanding results against Varsity competitors from other schools, taking third place in the overall Sweepstakes competition.
