The Summit High School Girls Swim team finished their season 9-3 with a sweeping win Tuesday over Bernards High School. This is the best record in five years for the girls.

The season started on a high note with the very first relay of the first meet, when the team of Carey Fries, Tasha Kewlaramani, KJ Winchell and Jackie Joffe broke the school record for the 200IM with a time of 1:54.87, and qualified for the Meet of Champions. This past weekend at the Union County meet, Tasha, a freshman, shattered a 1978 school record for the 100 breaststroke coming in at 1:09.80, almost a full second faster than the old record of 1:10.70 held by Cathy Redson.
