SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Summit's Krista Ann Kathleen Clapp, who attends Summit High School, will be among 20 girls selected from seven New Jersey counties to participate in the Essex County of the Links' 2019 Debutante Leadership Program. The theme of this year's program and 14th Biennial Emerald & Ivory Debutante Cotillion is 'Preparing the Next Global Servant Leader'.

This program has been offered every other year, for the past 27 years, by invitation only, to outstanding high school junior and senior girls in New Jersey, who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to community service. Debutantes* participate in educational, cultural, social and community service activities, and weeks of dance rehearsals with their escorts and fathers.

The 2019 Debutante Leadership Program began in February and will culminate in a formal cotillion -- the 14th Biennial Emerald and Ivory Debutante Cotillion -- on Sunday, December 8, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Hanover Marriott Hotel, which is located at 1401 Route 10 East in Whippany. For tickets, visit eventbrite.com.
