SUMMIT, NJ -  Reeves-Reed Arboretum (RRA) is set to host one of the Hilltop City's annual rites of spring as "Daffodil Day," featuring a collection of more than 50,000 bulbs, takes place April 24, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The collection, planted in the Arboretum’s glacially carved "kettle" or bowl, was started in the early 1900s by the Wisners, the original owners of the property.

"Daffodil Day" features an eclectic array of activities and festivities, including an outdoor farmer’s market with vendors and food trucks, crafts and games, and music from The Bond Street Theatre’s Shinbone Alley Stilt Band, an ensemble of musicians playing an eclectic repertoire of Dixieland, Swing, Rock, Jazz and Blues, all while walking on stilts.

For those with courage, a stilt walking workshop will also be on the day’s agenda, and children are invited to visit the Arboretum's newest brood of baby goats.
