SUMMIT, NJ - Beginning November 11 -- and continuing through December 16 -- the Summit Free Public Library will participate in "Books for Kids" a statewide program sponsored by the New Jersey Library Association (NJLA) designed with the hope that all children will be able to experience the joy of reading books of their very own.

Founded by the NJEA in 1991, the program welcomes donations of new or gently used books for Children enrolled in Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade. The books will benefit students enrolled in Chancellor Avenue Elementary School in Irvington and Norman S. Weir Elementary School in Paterson.

The Summit Free Public Library is located at 75 Maple Street.
