SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department is set to begin its 5th Annual CommUNITY Cares food and household goods collection drive, with all collected items benefiting families, assisted through Family Promise, and Summit residents through the Junior League of Summit.

The Drive is held in May / June to provide much-needed items for food insecure families during the summer months. With schools letting out in one month, many of the children who are dependent on the meals they receive through the schools during the school year will go hungry.

Beginning May 20 through June 10, items can be dropped off in collection bins at the following locations:
