Summit PAL Halloween Parade

The Summit PAL will once again host their annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 27, 2012. This annual event is Co-Sponsored by the Summit Department of Community Programs. This year’s event will feature six prize categories including: Cutest, Scariest, Best Group, Most Original, Best Sports Figure and Best Overall. The Parade assembles at 3:00 PM at the Bouras Parking Lot located at 25 DeForest Avenue, just behind the Bouras Building. Children are urged to Trick or Treat from Noon through 3:00 PM in Summit’s Downtown. Kids are advised to Trick or Treat at any stores that display the Trick or Treat Pumpkin Posters. This event will be held rain or shine.

The PAL Halloween Parade travels along DeForest Avenue to Beechwood Road to Springfield Avenue and on to Maple Street and the Village Green. On the big stage at the Village Green the judges will announce the winners of the costume contest. Refreshments will be served on the Village Green during the Prize Ceremony. This year, Shark Diddy and Mc Muni, honored mascots of the Summit Department of Community Programs will participate in the parade as well. The Summit PAL Halloween Parade is Co- sponsored by the Summit Department of Community Programs.
