Summit PAL Ping Pong Tourney Returns

The Summit PAL Annual Ping Pong Tournament for Summit students in grades 5-8 is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2013 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Held in cooperation with the Summit Department of Community Programs, this year’s event has been scheduled for a Friday night for the first time ever! The event is held in the Guida Gymnasium of the Summit Community Center, 100 Morris Avenue.

This FREE event has been very popular with boys and girls alike. Summit Police Officers join with the Summit PAL and are on hand to play the kids in a few matches as well. The Summit Department of Community Programs partners with the Summit PAL in many events annually. This year’s Ping Pong Tournament will be combined with the popular Friday Night Rec! Dance Parties for a fabulous night of music, ping pong, great prizes and refreshments.

All levels of ping pong ability are welcome. The Round Robin Tournament has elements of fun with the addition of music, dance and great prizes. There have been known local celebrities who stop in to play a ping pong drudge match or two. Refreshments will be served. Prizes in the past have included I Pods, games, sports equipment and gift cards.
