SUMMIT, NJ - Parking fees and permit requirements in downtown Summit, suspended since late March, will be back in effect beginning July 15. Fees for on-street parking in downtown Summit, for parking in municipal lots and garages, and parking permits for certain municipal lots and garages will be required beginning that day.

Fees and permits had been suspended -- including at all 15-, 30-, and 90-minute and two-hour street metered spaces, in the Bank Street Lot, and on the ground level of the Tier Garage -- since March 24 in order to assist local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Time limits and illegal parking continued to be enforced to encourage turnover of parking spaces.
