SUMMIT, NJ -  Final preparations are underway for the one of Summit's most popular events, The Mayor's Annual Fourth of July Celebration.

Each year, Summit residents gather at Soldier's Memorial Field to take part in the day's festivities.  From the old-fashioned family fun activities to the spectacular Grand Fireworks Display, the Fourth of July is always a memorable event for the City of Summit.

The Schedule of Events includes:

9:45 a.m. - Flag Raising Ceremony
10 a.m. - Children's Decorated Bicycle Parade
10 a.m. -  Polka Dot in Concert
10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Rides and Amusements
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - The Kootz in Concert
Noon - City Services Softball Game
6 p.m. - Ashland Road Closes to Traffic
7:45 p.m. - The Cameos in Concert
9 p.m. - Retire the Colors
9:15 p.m. - Grand Fireworks Display
