SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department are accepting applications for school crossing guard posts, with both morning afternoon slots available.
 
In addition to earning supplemental income, fulfilling crossing guard duties allows residents to contribute to resident safety, thereby making a difference in the community.
 
Morning time slots are 7:15 - 8:45 a.m., and afternoon slots are 2:15 - 3:45 p.m., with locations varying by community need. Posts are assigned based on volunteer availability and demand, and all instruction, training, and necessary resources are provided.
