05/02 - Matthew Christopher Dudley, 27, of Union, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Summit. Mr. Dudley was arrested and processed for the warrant. Mr. Dudley was transported to the Union County Jail.

05/04 - Kerina K. Dinkins, 19, of Summit was arrested for a contempt of court warrant out of Orange. Ms. Dinkins was released with a pending court date.

05/04 - Kayleigh J. Haber, 25, of Branchville was arrested for theft by unlawful taking. Ms. Haber was released with a pending court date.

05/05 - At 0941 hours a report was taken for a theft of a motor vehicle from a Hillcrest Avenue residence. The theft occurred sometime between 1900 hours on 05/04 and 0920 hours on 05/05. Taken from the residence was a blue 2015 BMW 640 coupe. The victim was unsure if the key fob was left inside of the vehicle.

05/07 - At 1223 hours a report was taken for a theft from a supply closet at Overlook Hospital. The incident occurred between 1145 hours and 1215 hours on the same date. The victim reports that an iPhone charger and approximately $10.00 in cash were removed from a purse. Total value for the stolen items is approximately $40.00.

05/08 - At 1022 hours a report as taken for a theft of license plates from a business on River Road. The victim reported that six license plates were removed from the business during an unspecified amount of time. The victim reported each license plate was worth approximately $500.00 for a total of $3,000.00.

05/09 - Nathaniel E. Francis, 28, of Summit was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, a contempt of court warrant out of Newark and a contempt of court warrant out of Irvington. Mr. Francis was released with a pending court date.

05/09 - Matthew C. Dudley, 27, of Union was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and two active contempt of court warrants. Mr. Dudley was processed and transported to the Union County Jail.

05/09 - At 1553 hours a report as taken for a theft of a wallet from a locker at the YMCA. The theft occurred between 1330 hours and 1530 hours on the same date. The victim reports a brown leather bi-fold wallet was removed from a locked locker. The contents that were removed with the wallet were numerous forms of identification and credit cards, as well as $30.00 in cash. Total value of the items removed was approximately $80.00.

05/11- Jerry Rojas, 23, of the Bronx, New York was arrested and charged with theft by deception and assuming a false identity. Mr. Rojas was released with a pending court date.

05/11 - At 1140 hours a report was taken for a theft from a business on Morris Avenue. The employee reported a white female, approximately 30 years old wearing an orange dress entered the business. The suspect attempted to purchase a pack of cigarettes but refused to provide identification for the employee to scan. The suspect in turn grabbed a Bic lighter off the counter and exited the business without paying for the item. Total value of the item stolen is approximately $2.49.

05/14 - Eric S. Preston, 38, of Union was arrested for burglary, theft by unlawful taking and a criminal attempt on a business. Mr. Preston was released with a pending court date.
