6/13 - At 0739 hours a report was taken for a theft from a Union Place business. The victim reported the incident occurred at approximately 1400 hours on 6/12 when a black male individual, who was known to the victim, entered the business. The suspect removed a 32oz. plastic cup and filled it with Mountain Berry Blast Powerade. The total value of the stolen beverage was $2.50. 

6/20 - At 2124 hours a report was taken for a theft of packages from a Fernwood Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 0610 hours on 6/18 and 0900 hours on 6/19. Taken from the residence were two (2) packages that had been delivered on 6/17. The packages contained two (2) corded Ballard Designs pillows and miscellaneous men’s Ralph Lauren clothing items. The total value of the stolen items was approximately $1,834.00. 

6/21 - At 1638 hours a report was taken for a theft of credit cards from an unsecured locker at a River Road business. The victim reported the incident occurred on the same date between 1030 hours and 1230 hours. Taken were two (2) personal credit cards that were utilized at the Mall at Short Hills. At the time of the report, it was not known what the total amount of charges were to the cards.

6/23 - At 0901 hours a report was taken for a theft of a motor vehicle from the driveway of a Wentworth Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 2300 hours on 6/22 and 0700 hours on 6/23. Taken from the residence was a 2019 orange Volkswagen Tiguan that had been left unsecured with the ignition key in the vehicle. At the time of the report, the value of the vehicle was unknown. 

6/24 - At 1051 hours a report was taken for a theft of money from an individual. The victim reported to have utilized a shipping business that was located online to send $9,000.00 to family out of the country. The suspect agreed to assist the victim but requested an additional $450.00 payment to cover additional expenses. The victim provided the suspect with $9,450.00, which was never provided to the family. 

6/25 - At 1156 hours a report was taken for a theft of a tablet from a Union Place business. The victim reported the incident occurred at approximately 0758 hours on the same date. An individual entered an adjoining business and requested to use the restroom. The individual was described as a black male, approximately 6’2”, wearing sunglasses on his head, a gray suit jacket, blue shirt, white gym shorts, black socks and black shoes. Through surveillance video, the suspect was seen entering a closed section of the business and removing a black iPad Pro 12.9” tablet and placing it inside his suit jacket. The suspect then exited the business. The total value of the tablet at the time of the report was approximately $2,200.00. 

6/26 - At 1223 hours a report was taken for a theft of a cellphone from an Overlook Road business. The victim reported the incident occurred sometime between 1145 hours and 1155 hours. Taken was an Apple iPhone 8, gold in color with a gold case. Total value of the phone at the time of the theft was approximately $800.00. 

6/28 - Lylise M. Mayfield, 46, of Springfield was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Elizabeth. Ms. Mayfield was arrested and processed and released with a pending court date. 

7/1 - At 1607 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from a Constantine Place storage area. The victim reported the incident occurred between 6/28 and today’s date where the bicycle had been left, secured, in a common storage area. The victim described the bicycle as a silver boy’s, 21-speed Schwinn bicycle. The total value of the bicycle at the time of the report was approximately $300.00. 

7/4 - At 1556 hours a report was taken for a theft of a wallet from an unsecured locker at a Beauvoir Avenue business. The victim reported the incident occurred on this date between 0830 hours and 1550 hours. Taken from the unsecured locker was one (1) gold/brown Jessica Simpson brand wallet that contained identification and credit cards belonging to the victim. The total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $40.00. 

7/7 - At 1533 hours a report was taken for the theft of a, “kid alert visual warning signal,” from the yard of a Carleen Court residence. The victim reported the incident occurred sometime between 1530 hours on 7/2 and 1553 hours on 7/7. The total value of the sign at the time of the report was approximately $35.00. 

7/8 - Jonathan S. Mendoza, 32, of Passaic was arrested on two contempt of court warrants out of Norwood Borough. Mr. Mendoza was processed and released with a pending court date. 

7/8 - At 1213 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked on the roadway in front of a Manor Hill Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1830 and 2100 hours on 7/7. Taken from the vehicle was one (1) Louis Vuitton wallet containing forms of identification and credit cards, one (1) pair of Apple Airpods, one (1) Prada checkbook holder, several gift cards, two (2) sets of eyeglasses and one (1) pair of Tori Burch sunglasses. Total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $2,190.00. 

7/9 - At 1750 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from an open garage on Morris Avenue. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1200 hours and 1600 hours on this date. Taken from the open garage was one (1) men’s, 21-speed blue Raleigh mountain bike. The total value of the stolen bicycle at the time of the report was approximately $800.00. 

7/11 - At 1427 hours a report was taken for a theft of a wallet from a locker room at a Beauvoir Avenue business. The victim reported the incident occurred on this date between 0640 hours and 1430 hours. Taken from an unsecured locker was one (1) brown leather wallet that contained several forms of identification, a credit card and approximately $30.00 in cash. Total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $66.00. 

7/13 - At 2250 hours a report was taken for a theft of cash from a Shadyside Avenue residence. The victim reported that approximately $100.00 was removed from the residence earlier in the evening. 

7/15 - At 1914 hours a report was taken for a stolen bicycle from the Summit Train Station. The victim reported the incident occurred sometime between 0830 hours and 1830 hours on this date. Taken from the Railroad Avenue side of the train station was an unsecured women’s royal blue, 10-speed Schwinn bicycle with two (2) metal baskets on the rear of the bike, front and rear lights and a gray bicycle helmet. The total value of the stolen bicycle was approximately $200.00. 

7/16 - At 1359 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from a New England Avenue storage room. The victim reported the incident occurred at approximately 1630 hours on 7/15. Taken from an unsecured storage room was a men’s black, full size Avalanche 30 GT bicycle. Total value of the stolen bicycle at the time of the report was approximately $3,000.00. 

7/17 - Eric Lee Lopez, 37, of Brooklyn, New York was arrested and charged with forgery, theft by deception and criminal attempt to commit a crime. Mr. Lopez was processed and released with a pending court date. 

7/17 - Stephanie T. Vill, 26, of Berkeley Heights was arrested and charged with theft of credit cards, fraudulent use of a credit card and forgery. Ms. Vill was processed and released with a pending court date.
