Summit Resident Jeffrey Altschuler Appointed to Area Health and Human Service Organization's Board of Trustees

EAST ORANGE, NJ – Summit's Jeffrey Altschuler is one of three new appointees to the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest NJ (JVS), a nonprofit, community-based health and human service organization that delivers a wide array of personalized services on a nonsectarian basis to nearly 20,000 individuals each year.

Altschuler is the President and CEO of Allied Beverage Group where he oversees nearly 900 employees in its New Jersey and Pennsylvania facilities. Aside from JVS, he is also actively involved with the World President’s Organization and the National Wholesalers Association. He currently serves on the boards for both the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America and Cornell University’s School of Industrial Relations. In the past, he has been a part of the Christie and Corzine Administrations, has also done work for the Bayonne Hospital Foundation, and served the Mayor’s Task Force of Technology in Summit.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Doctor of Law from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge.

In addition to Altschuler, other Board of Trustee appointees included Ira Robbins, CPA, Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Valley National Bank; and Caren Ford, former Interim Assistant Executive Director for JVS.

02/01/2018, 7:26 am - FD dispatched to Route 78 East Bound mile marker 47.2 for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries. On arrival both the Springfield and Summit Fire Departments set up for extrication. The vehicle was chocked to stabilize the vehicle. EMS performed patient care. A hose line was stretched for possible fire suppression by the Berkeley Heights FD.
