SUMMIT, NJ—Renaissance Church is inviting all high school students, parents, and other adults to join them for an important seminar, 'Addiction Awareness, How to Recognize and Respond to Substance Abuse Affecting Your Loved Ones', which will be held on September 19, from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at the Church.
The free seminar is presented by Market Street Mission and Community Counseling, and is meant to increase awareness of drug abuse and addiction. The seminar will focus on the opioid crisis sweeping the country and understanding the pathways from drug use to abuse to addiction.
Discussions will also focus on the impact of a loved one’s addiction on family and friends. Treatment interventions options are included. No registration is required to attend.
Presenters will include Tom Giglio, MSW; Paul Rabideau, MA, LPC; and David Dressler, MA, LAMFT. The seminar is part of Renaissance Church’s initiatives through its Ren Cares ministry, which seeks to empower others to use time, talents, and treasures to care for the needs of people within our community and around the world.
