SUMMIT, NJ - Temple Sinai in Summit will host a pre-Selichot Drumming Circle and Selichot Service September 21.

Drumming Circle - 8 - 9 p.m.

Welcome the Days of Awe via a unique way and embrace a connection to Judaism through spiritual drumming and song. In this special event, attendees will prepare for the holidays through music and prayer that lead into the Selichot Service.

Musical guest Alfred Fredel will bring traditional drums as well as modern percussion in this special hands-on gathering. No experience is necessary for this meaningful and organic event.

Selichot Service -- 9:15 - 10 p.m.

Rabbi Ross, Cantor Shemesh, Shir Libeinu Choir, and Dave Davis will prepare hearts, minds, and souls for the High Holy Days. During this inspiring and beautiful hidden gem -- that enables a deeper meaning and feeling at the High Holy days -- attendees can experience their own personal spiritual moment with the Temple's sacred Torah scrolls at the ark, see the changing of the Torah mantles to High Holy Days white, and hear the sound of the Shofar.
