'Summit Today' Has Highly-Successful Debut; Additional Training Sessions Announced for Community Calendar

New training sessions announced - Tuesday, Feb 23 @ 7:30 PM or Wednesday, Feb 24 @ 10 AM. Registration required.

SUMMIT, NJ - Garnering thousands of views in just under two months since it launched, "Summit Today" -- the Hilltop City's official Community Calendar -- is off to a flying start.

"Summit Today" is a free community calendar available to Summit non-profit organizations to post information on local events. The site provides a user-friendly, and visually appealing, listing of events with a layout similar to popular social media sites such as Pinterest. Events can be searched based on popular interests, as well as added to an iCal or Google calendar.

The main objective behind "Summit Today" is to provide a go-to site for residents and visitors alike when they want to make plans in Summit.

Summit Today was initiated by the Summit Free Public Library and, over time, developed into what it is today with help from participating Summit non-profits.

The calendar was designed and developed by TAPinto Summit and will be hosted free of charge by TAPinto Summit. Marketing materials were funded through a contribution from the Summit Area Public Foundation.

All Summit non-profit organizations are encouraged to attend an upcoming user training session for "Summit Today." Interested organizations are welcome to attend on either Tuesday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m., or Wednesday, February 24 at 10 a.m. at the Summit Free Public Library, 75 Maple Street. Registration is required.

To join us for a preview, and complete training, for this dynamic new community resource, register for a free training session by Friday, February 19. Light refreshments will be served during each session.
