SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School (SHS) varsity field hockey ran its record to 6-1-1, cruising past Cranford, 8-2, on the SHS Upper Turf Field.

Julia Washburn had a three goals for the Hilltoppers, and Jessica Martins, Kendall Codey, Elizabeth Wagenbach, Megan Ophel and Brooke Daney each had a goal, as Summit generated 18 shots on goal.  Codey also had three assists, and goalie Julie Woloshin made several outstanding saves, not surrendering a goal until the second half.
Summit, which had 15 offensive penalty corners to Cranford's six, begins Union County tournament play this weekend.
