The long awaited Summit Walk of Pride is located beside Investors Bank Field at Tatlock Park in Summit, NJ. The Walk of Pride was the idea of several high school athletics and recreation sports coaches, headed up by Summit resident Tim Duetsch. They saw a need for renovations to the food concession stand and storage at the home of the Summit Hilltoppers. The concept of a Walk of Pride became a reality over a year ago, when the City Council accepted this generous offer of this very community minded group of residents and coaches. That dream has become a reality with the conclusion of Phase I of the Walk of Pride. The entire community is now buzzing about the Walk of Pride which contains inscribed pavers of two sizes. Bricks are still available for purchase and can be added throughout the years. Bricks will be added into the Walk of Pride in bunches of 25. If you would like to own a piece of Summit history, you need to purchase a brick. If you are proud of the Summit sports legacy, or want to honor a Summit resident or athlete from any class year, you can do so now. Bricks are available in two sizes, 4” x 8” for $100 or 8” x 8” for $200. The 8” x 8” bricks can be inscribed with both words and a logo from your favorite sport or activity.
