Dedicated to the healthy development of youth, the Summit Area YMCA strives to provide programs and services that provide individuals of all ages to learn, grow, and thrive. With the academic school year quickly approaching in September, the Summit YMCA will begin offering six-week Yoga Training Sessions for Sports Teams so that young athletes -- ages 10-13 and 14-17 -- may not only learn a new way of healthy exercise, but also improve upon their existing skills to excel in the sport of the interest.

Young athletes can boost their skills with improved balance, strength, flexibility and more. More professional and amateur sports teams are adding yoga as a regular component of their training. Breathing techniques can help calm nerves and increase focus. Other benefits of this yoga series include promoting teamwork and relationship building. 

A minimum of eight / maximum of 20 team members are needed to receive a yoga series tailored specifically to your sport!
