LIVINGSTON, NJ - Summit resident Brady Sheaffer, a senior at Newark Academy, has been awarded 'Teammate of the Year' honors for Newark Academy by the Super Essex Conference and Yogi Berra Museum.

The award exemplifies "strength of character, sportsmanship, promoting team unity and supportive spirit though often unheralded, are vital to a team’s success," values which defined Yogi Berra as a leader on and off the field.

Sheaffer lettered in three varsity sports at Newark Academy during the 2017-18 school year, earning soccer First Team All-Conference and basketball Second Team All-Conference selection, and is currently on the lacrosse team. Sheaffer recorded 25 saves as goalie on the Minutemen's soccer team, including 10 versus Caldwell on September 27.

He will be attending Washington University in St Louis, MO, beginning this fall.
