SUMMIT, NJ - Blow In, Blow Out, the first blow dry hair therapy salon will open October 25 in Summit.

Located at 330 Springfield Avenue, Blow In, Blow Out promises to have women "on the go" -- meaning they will be in and out of the salon is 30 minutes.  Blow In, Blow Out will offer shampoo, condition, blow out and six different styles to choose from all for about $35.
"We are excited to bring downtown NYC to Summit with a chic and modern place for all women who want their hair to look fabulous, feel great and relax with a cappuccino or a glass of champagne," said Tara Galatt, founder and owner of Blow In, Blow Out.  She adds, "It will be hair therapy and soul therapy in one luxurious place.

Unlike most full-service salons, Blow In, Blow Out will not offer cuts or color, and Galatt says her salon offers a complimentary option to those services.  "Summit has many beautiful full-service salons, and it is not our intent to replace them.  Blow In, Blow Out is the for the busy woman who only has 30 minutes to spare but wishes a fab blowout."  Among the premium services offered at her salon, Galatt includes, "Special braids, glam undo's, and additional deep conditioning.  We also provide private access to the salon for brides and bridal parties, bachelorettes, Bat Mitzvahs, and other special occasion.  For women who desire a house call, we offer our Blow In service and come to your home or other location for $90."

Young ladies 12-under have not been forgotten, with a style that Galatt has called "Cutie Pie" available for $22.  The salon is open six days a week (closed Mondays), and for a complete schedule of hours, or to schedule an appointment, call 908 / 273-4947.

Fear of Rising Rates? Remember The Reason You Own Bonds

If the current interest environment has you concerned about your bond portfolio, remember why you are investing in bonds.  The role bonds, or fixed income, play in a portfolio is not solely based on performance.  Bonds are used to offer stability, particularly when stock market volatility is rising. Rate hikes can dampen bond performance, but keep perspective on how rising rates impact ...

Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
