Summit's Glynn Earns Spot on Inside Lacrosse Junior Watch List

SHS Girls Lacrosse goalie Kady Glynn made 182 saves last season, including this one against Ridgewood.

SUMMIT, NJ - Kady Glynn, whose outstanding play in goal has greatly contributed to the Summit High School Girls Lacrosse team's success, has been named to Inside Lacrosse magazine's Junior Watch List.  The list, comprised of 20 elite players nationwide, appears in the magazine's September edition, dubbed "The Recruiting Issue".

Glynn, a SHS Junior, was the last line of defense on a team that captured the Union County Championship, the Group 2 North Sectional Championship, and the Group 2 State Championship.  She was named First-Team All Union County, First-Team All League (Stars and Stripes South Division) and Third-Team All State, and produced 182 saves, a goals-against average of  7, and even managed one assist during the 2013 season.
Verbally committed to attend Loyola University in Baltimore, MD, Glynn earned a 4.18 GPA in addition to her achievements on the field.  This summer, she was selected to the Under Armour Underclassmen New Jersey Team for the second consecutive year, and was invited to Nike's "The Ride" in Oregon, where she was one of 50 select girls lacrosse players who participated in a combine, special training and games.
Mike Walsh, her Head Coach at Summit High School, said of Glynn,  "Kady is an outstanding goalie with quick hands and feet.  She has worked very hard to be where she is at, and takes great pride in her knowledge of the position and the game.  She is a pleasure to coach."

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
