WASHINGTON, DC - Summit's Joseph Lasaracino, a Summit High School Alum and recent graduate of Catholic University of America, has completed an internship in the office of New Jersey Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07).
“Interning for Congressmen Lance has been a powerful experience,” said Lasaracino. “Learning and understanding vital legislation has been insightful. Answering calls from constituents and representing the Seventh Congressional District of New Jersey has been a complete honor.”
Interns in Lance’s Washington office perform a variety of duties, including attending briefings and writing reports for staff, facilitating and guiding tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting residents, assisting in research projects and drafting constituent correspondence.
“It was a pleasure to have Joseph in my Washington office this semester,” said Lance. “During his fast-paced couple of months on Capitol Hill, Joseph served the needs of the people of the Seventh Congressional District with great distinction. He should be commended for his public service and professionalism. I would also like to congratulate Joseph for completing his undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of America and I wish him every success in his future endeavors.”
During his tenure in Congress Lance’s three offices have hosted more than 400 constituent interns.
