Summit's Office Tavern Grill, Piattino Hold June 15 Fundraiser to Benefit Tarentino Family


SUMMIT, NJ - Piattino: A Neighborhood Bistro and The Office Tavern Grill, both owned and operated by 40North Restaurant Group, will host 'dine to donate' events June 15 to benefit the the family of Summit Police Detective Matthew Tarentino, who passed away May 30 in a motor vehicle accident.

Both Summit restaurants, located side-by-side at 67 and 61 Union Place, respectively, will donate 15 percent of proceeds from sales, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., on June 15.

The fundraiser includes the sale on all food and non-alcoholic beverages, including all take-out orders. Patrons must present the flyer for credit, which can be displayed either physically or digitally.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Detective Tarentino, a tremendous hit to the Summit community,” said Steven Baliva, Divisional Vice President of Operations, 40NORTH Restaurant Group. “We wanted to show our appreciation for his service to the community by doing something to assist his family during this difficult time. We hope the funds from this proceed night can help with some of the burden that has fallen on them as a result of this tragic loss.”
