BERKELEY HEIGHTS—Summit's Jordan Sweeney and Annalise Nassani are among the 63 graduating seniors that comprise the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts (WIPA) class of 2017. Performing Arts School graduating senior and saxophonist Sweeney will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, while New Jersey Youth Symphony member Nassani will attend George Washington University.

The Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts serves more than 1,400 students through a range of classes and ensembles including the 14 ensembles of the New Jersey Youth Symphony which serve 500 students in grades 3 - 12. Its mission is "to provide the highest quality performing arts education to a wide range of students in a supportive and inclusive environment, where striving for personal excellence inspires and connects those we teach to the communities we serve."

Other Performing Arts School graduating seniors include soprano Felicity Anderson-Moore of Chatham; pianist Camellia Bisignano of Chester, who will attend Ithaca College; violinist Kimberly Cava of Chatham, who will attend Fashion Design School; violinist Felicia Guo of Chatham, who will attend Cornell University; flutist Emily Harper of Chatham, who will attend the University of Chicago; cellist Zoe Heard of Chatham, who will attend Mount Holyoke College; flutist Marguerite Kay of Chatham, who will attend Boston University; guitarist Edison Moy of Chatham, who will attend the University of California at Berkeley; flutist Emily Peterson of New Providence, who will attend Brigham Young University; and soprano Sarah Peterson of New Providence. who will attend Rochester Institute of Technology.
