Tarentino Family Will Benefit from Area Golf Tournament Sept. 11

Neshanic Valley Golf Course will be the site of the Somerset Patriots 2017 golf tournament, the partial proceeds of which will benefit the family of Matthew Tarentino.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – A portion of the proceeds raised by the Somerset Patriots during the team's 18th Annual Golf Classic at Neshanic Valley Golf Course on September 11 will be donated to the family of the late Summit Police Department Detective Matthew Tarentino, a lifelong resident of Somerville.

Victoria Tarentino gave birth to their daughter, Anastasia, earlier this month. The couple also has two sons -- Robbie, 3, and Raymond, 2.

The Golf Classic is a five-player scramble with each foursome being matched up with a Somerset Patriots player or coach. There will be a shotgun start at noon and different contests on the course to win prizes. Golfers will be served lunch and a special buffet dinner with awards and a raffle to help raise money for the Somerset Patriots Children’s Educational and Sportsmanship Foundation and the Tarentino family.
