Summit's Jules Godino and his Navy Men's Lacrosse teammates torpedoed fourth-seeded Yale, 13-10, in the first round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament.

Godino is a senior co-captain and defender on the Midshipmen lacrosse team, which was making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009 and won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2008. Navy will now face Brown University in the quarterfinals May 21.

Godino, anchor of the top-ranked defensive unit in the country, was recently named to the 2016 Men’s Lacrosse Patriot League All-Academic Team, the second consecutive year he has earned the award.

According to navysports.com, Godino is ranked in the top 35 percent of his class in academic order of merit, has been named to the Commandant’s List twice, and garnered Dean’s List mention during the fall term of his junior year after achieving a 4.00 grade-point average. Godino will graduate in May and be commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy. His service assignment is submarines (nuclear).

Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
