The Connection is excited to prepare for their summer day camps, a tradition in the community for over 70 years.  The Connection’s day camps run for eight great weeks, June 29-August 21, giving children the opportunity to build friendships, play outside, learn to swim, learn a new sport, and enjoy their favorite activities all summer. From performing arts, gymnastics, sports, swimming, and yoga to fine arts, children are sure to find a camp they love at The Connection.

Talented counselors lead campers through a fun filled day during the “SummerFun Camp” (8:30-1:00pm). Boys and girls ages 3+ enjoy daily activities such as swim lessons, yoga, science, dance, gymnastics, sports, arts, crafts and story time.  Campers are grouped by age and rotate through the 30,000 sq ft building, outdoor recreation and playground facilities, plus a cutting edge gymnastics gym and indoor pool for a well-rounded summer camp experience.

Specialty afternoon camps are offered 1:00-4:00pm.  “Girl’s Gymnastics Camp” (ages 4+) gives young gymnasts the opportunity to tumble, flip and twirl in a state of the art gymnastics gym… perfect for beginner to advanced gymnasts. “Fit N Fun” (ages 4+) teaches campers a variety of sports, geared to individual ability levels to help gain confidence and acquire a love of sports. Lights!Camera!Action! (ages 3+) gives campers a complete summer stock experience. This camp includes an on camera class, dancing, staging, set and costume design, culminating in a spectacular show performed the last day of the 2 week session. 2015 LCA shows include: Lion King, Peter Pan, Matilda, and Annie.

“Travel Camp”  (8:30-4:30pm) is perfect for the older camper (ages 8+).  Campers visit exciting locations on unique day trips such as Lion King on Broadway, Tomahawk Lake, Sahara Sam’s, Paintball, Glassworks Studio, Paddleboarding, and more! All trips are supervised by trained, professional staff.

In addition to the regular camp times, The Connection also offers Extended Day Camps.  The Sunrisers Camp is convenient for parents who need an early drop off option. Sunrisers start their camp day at 7:30am and are escorted to their appropriate camp at 8:30am. The Campers Club is a simple, easy way for children to wind down after a busy afternoon with board games, drawings, arts and crafts, and outdoor play until 6:00pm.

The Connection camps are a fantastic way to spend the summer, offering a truly rounded experience. From the fun and thrills of trying new activities, to the friendships made – it’s no wonder so many campers return year after year!
