Winter Registration for youth classes at The Connection is now ongoing. Classes run January 20 – March 29. The Winter schedule features both new and returning favorite special needs, parent/child, gymnastics, warrior, swim, karate, S.T.E.M., and dance classes.
New for the Winter session, a professional comic book artist will teach “Cartoon Art”. Children will learn new skills in cartoon and comic art every Monday at 3:45pm (for ages 5-7), 4:45pm (for ages 8-12), or 5:45pm (for ages 13-15).
Children can strengthen their summer swim skills all year long at The Connection’s indoor pool. Trained instructors provide swim lessons for children and adults of all swim abilities.
Continue learning beyond the school day in The Connection’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) classes. These classes encourage thinking outside the box and make learning fun for all ages! School age children can explore the science of their five senses in “Sense Science” every Tuesday at 3:45pm (for ages 5-7) and 4:45pm (for ages 8-12). With hands-on activities appealing to sight, sound, touch, taste and smell, kids will experience and learn about their senses in a whole new way.
Children ages 4+ can develop mental discipline, coordination, flexibility, strength and self-defense skills in The Connection’s karate and martial arts classes! Karate classes are led by Chris Goedecke, author, and 8th degree black belt, with 48 years of experience, and his team.
Dancers as young as 1.5 years old start moving with their caregivers near by and grow into confident, independent performers in The Connection’s Dance and Performing Arts classes. Classes are offered in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and performing arts.
The Connection will be offering “Mini Warrior”, “Jr. Warrior” and a “Warrior Gym Challenge”. These coed gym challenges use strength, speed, and agility to complete specifically designed ninja courses.
Gymnastics classes are offered for all ages and abilities from 3 years old through High School. Gymnasts are trained on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercises, Tumble Track, and mini trampolines.
Adult fitness classes are ongoing – join as a Total Facility Member anytime for unlimited access to the fitness center, pool, and all fitness classes.
