SUMMIT, NJ - The Christ Child Society of Summit (CCSS) has awarded scholarships to three Summit High School graduating seniors -- Ife Campbell, Aila Poticano and Gabriel Ribeiro -- who each displayed academic achievement, worked or volunteered with children, and may have financial need.

The CCSS indicated that Campbell, Poticano and Ribeiro were chosen from among twenty-eight applicants because of their dedication to succeed in school, their independent spirit, and their work with children.

Campbell will attend the University of New Haven in Connecticut and plans to major in Forensic Psychology / Criminology; Ribeiro will attend The College of New Jersey and will major in Biology and Chemistry; and Poticano will attend Rutgers University and will major in Biology / Kinesiology.

The Christ Child Society Scholarship Committee is chaired by Maura Perier, and committee members include Leslie Drummond,  Allison Lees, Bev Luehs and Jackie McCarthy-Browne.
 
The Summit Chapter of the Christ Child Society s a non-denominational, not-for-profit organization that provides aid and supplies to at-risk children in Summit and neighboring towns, building better communities by partnering with others to serve children and families in need.
