SUMMIT, NJ - SAGE Eldercare is raffling two tickets to the Broadway show, "Dear Evan Hansen," along with a pre-show dinner for two, with the show and dinner both scheduled for November 3.
Based on a book by Steven Levenson with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, "Dear Evan Hansen" is the story of a high schooler riddled with social anxiety, making it challenging for the senior to make friends and connect with others. A classmate's passing and lie that was never meant to be a lie subsequently give Evan the opportunity for a life he never dreamed he could have.
Debuting on Broadway at the Music Box Theater in December of 2016, it was nominated for nine Tony Awards in 2017, winning in six categories, including for Best Musical, Best Actor in a Musical, Best Score, Best Actress in a Musical and Best Orchestrations. The cast album won the 2018 GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
Tickets are third row center seats and dinner is two blocks away from the Music Box Theatre at the Glass House Tavern. Just 150 raffle tickets, priced at $100 each, are being sold for the Great White Way evening valued at well more than $1,000.
The drawing will be held July 16.
