SUMMIT, NJ - Family Promise, the Summit-based national nonprofit that engages communities across the country to address family homelessness, recently announced several changes to its National Board of Trustees. These changes include:
- Kevin Barrett, current Trustee and former CEO of Altegra Health, has been elected Vice Chair of the Board, replacing Cassandra A. Hardman, CEO of Hardman Johnston Global Advisors.
- Five longtime Trustees -- Cary R. Hardy, Robert W. Parsons, Jr., Sig Huitt, Edwin J. Hagerty and Cassandra A. Hardman -- have retired from the Board at the expiration of their terms.
- Dan Tinkoff, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, has been elected as a Trustee.
To retain the considerable institutional memory and experience, it is common for some trustees to remain connected with the organization in an advisory capacity. As such, Hardy and Parsons have accepted seats on the Family Promise Emeritus Board and will continue to provide counsel to the organization.
Family Promise Board Chair Angela Schroeder commented on the transition: “These trustees, many of whom served for close to ten years, guided the organization through its major growth phase and ensured its constant focus on the families we serve. We will be forever grateful for their commitment and contributions.”
Tinkoff joins the Board as a leader in McKinsey’s Global Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products Practice, working extensively with management teams and boards to help them optimize performance. His experience with advanced data and analytics will be invaluable to Family Promise’s strategic planning process moving forward.
Explaining why he chose to join Family Promise, Tinkoff said, “My family has always been my greatest source of strength and resilience. As such, Family Promise’s mission matters profoundly to me. At my first hosting event, I was immediately struck by the power of ‘families helping families’ and the caring connections that can make a life-altering difference. I’m incredibly excited to lend my experience and expertise to help Family Promise shape its strategy and path forward to scale its impact even further.”
