SUMMIT, NJ - Summit-based HomeTowne Television (HTTV) will honor three individuals -- Mark S. Hobee, Bonnie J. Monte, and Todd Schmidt -- each of whom has made it their life's work to develop a thriving performing arts industry in New Jersey, while also giving back to their communities at large. The trio will be feted at HTTV's Annual Gala, which will be held December 8, from 6 - 9 p.m., at the Beacon Hill Club in Summit.

At the event, each honoree will receive the prestigious “Fred Honold Community Service Award," which bears the name of HTTV's Founder and current Board of Trustees President.

Mark S. Hobee is the Producing Artistic Director of the Paper Mill Playhouse, having joined the organization in 2000. Under his artistic leadership, and working with a broad array of partners, Paper Mill has become a noteworthy incubator for new musical theater and in 2016 was recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award.

Bonnie J. Monte is entering her 26th season as Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Under her leadership, the Theatre has evolved into one of the largest and most respected classical theatres In the nation. Monte has garnered national recognition for her highly successful revitalization of the institution, for her commitment to arts education, and has made the Theatre one of the nation's leading training grounds as well.

As Managing Director of the Paper Mill Playhouse the past six seasons, Schmidt has produced the Paper Mill world premieres of NewsiesHoneymoon in Vegas, A Bronx Tale, The Bandstand and Ever After and the US premieres of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Bodyguard starring Deborah Cox. Under his leadership, Paper Mill has regained its status as America's premier musical theater and one of New Jersey's most celebrated cultural institutions receiving the 2016 Tony Award for Regional Theatre.
