SUMMIT, NJ - Senior Margaret Robb, captain of the Hilltopper Field Hockey Team, and member of the Maroon and White's swimming and golf teams, has been honored as Summit High School's recipient of the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Scholar-Athlete Award.
Robb accepted the honor, which was accompanied by a $500 scholarship award, at the 25th Annual NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete recognition luncheon held at Pines Manor in Edison.
In 2018, the NJSIAA honored 364 high school student-athletes with a total of $201,000 in college scholarships. Since 1994, the NJSIAA has honored 7,700 New Jersey high school students and distributed more than $2.1 million in college scholarships through its scholar program.
Robb had seven goals and nine assists for the Field Hockey Team this season as she and her Hilltopper teammates made it to the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 semifinals. Her low-round on the links was a 44, carded in a Summit win over Elizabeth on April 24.
She will enroll at Mount Holyoke College in the fall.
