CHATHAM, NJ - An ordinance that will allow for the creation of an "off-leash" dog area at Shepard Kollock Park was unanimously approved on introduction August 13 at the Borough of Chatham Council meeting.

The ordinance will up for adoption on Sept. 11.

Council members Vicki Fife and Bob Weber had presented the plan at the July 9 meeting of the borough council.

A fence will separate the portion of the park where dogs would be allowed to run off leash while strengthening enforcement of on-leash laws for the rest of the park.
