SUMMIT, NJ – The TryCAN Collaboration will host its next Peer Mentor Training Session April 3, from 4:15 - 6:15 p.m., at the Summit Community Center. Peer Mentors assist TryCAN special needs youth as they participate in TryCAN programs or events, helping them gain the confidence they need to have a positive overall experience.
The upcoming session will be led by Behaviorist, Eileen O’Neill, and registered participants will learn more about various development disabilities as well as how to interact and assist special needs youth within recreation and educational settings.
All students, ages 13 and older are welcome to register. Cost is $10 and spaces are limited. Online registration is now open and can be done via CommunityPass. Community service credit will be given for the time provided to TryCAN.
