Two Thousand Plus Doors and an Important 'To Do List'

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Now that the summer is over, campaign season is in full swing and the election is just over two months away.  I am writing to let you know of a very exciting milestone.

I have been walking door-to-door since April and I have now personally knocked on over 2,000 doors.

My goal is to knock on the door of every voter in Ward 2.  As I have been walking in different neighborhoods, I have learned a lot from Summit residents including the things you value in Summit and the issues about which you are most concerned.

Some of the issues I have heard about most frequently include:

  • traffic safety

  • road conditions

  • taxes

  • full day kindergarten

  • parking

  • sidewalks

  • vacancies in downtown stores

  • parks and open spaces.

These are all important, and with your support I will work to address these issues on Council.

Now that the election is almost here, I have a lot of work to do and I can’t do it alone!  If you haven’t already done so, please visit my website to learn more, to support my campaign, or to order a lawn sign to be delivered on October 1. Also, “Like” my Facebook page, so you can follow my campaign activities and read updates about City issues.

If you have any thoughts or ideas you would like to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at  I would love to hear from you!

Marjorie Fox is the Democratic Candidate for Summit Common Council, Ward 2.
