SUMMIT, NJ - Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre will present the musical group Marquee Five in their new cabaret performance, "Back Porch Swing", November 21 at 8 p.m., and November 23 at 2 p.m.

Marquee Five has been called “The Manhattan Transfer for the new Millennium”, and the performance will offer up an evening of tunes arranged for Marquee Five’s five voices.  This new show will transport the audience back to a simpler time, by visiting greats like George & Ira Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, and more.  Piano, guitar, and bass support big band vocals.

Tight harmonies, clever arrangements, and an actor’s sensibility characterize Marquee Five, the collaboration of Mick Bleyer, Adam West Hemming, Vanessa Parvin, Sierra Rein, and Julie Reyburn.

Marquee Five brings a spunky, intelligent flair from New York’s cabaret world, with exciting five-part arrangements running the gamut of the Broadway canon and the American Songbook.  The group won the 2010 MAC Award (Vocal Group) for their debut show at The Metropolitan Room, “We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander and Ebb.”
