SUMMIT, NJ - New Jersey American Water will begin a water system improvement project on sections of Glenside and Morris Avenues beginning on or about April 25, with work focusing on cleaning and lining nearly 4,900 feet of cast iron water main, and rehabilitation of fire hydrants.
On April 25, crews will begin work on Glenside Avenue (CR-527) at Van Dyke Place and continue down Glenside Avenue to Watchung Reservation. Once that section of the restoration work is complete, crews will begin service along Morris Avenue to Chapel Street.

During construction, roads will be subject to lane closures by police, and access to businesses, driveways and sidewalks may be limited. Pathways for pedestrians will be established and emergency vehicles will have priority access to roads.
