I heartily support of Mike Wattick’s candidacy for Summit Common Council. First and most importantly Mike is a family man. He has lived in Summit for 17 years and along with his wife Pam has raised 4 delightful children, all attending Summit public schools.
But the most compelling reasons to cast your vote for Mike are his leadership, energy, and business experience. Mike’s leadership has already been recognized in the community. He has served as Red Cross Chair and President of Summit Taxpayer Association.
When I served on Council, I learned first hand the importance of a strong business background. Summit has a $26.21 million municipal budget and through the Board of School Estimate Council shares responsibility for a $67.94 million school budget. Mike Wattick, candidate for Council in Ward II, has the required experience and energy to control this ever-growing burden on Summit taxpayers.
I believe that to be effective Council needs a mix of skills, and I believe that Mike Wattick’s leadership, business strength, and energy are the qualities we need today.
