Beth Kinney who -- for a decade -- served as Summit's Director of Community Services, is honored by Mayor Nora Radest, who issued a proclamation designating November 14, 2016, as 'Beth Kinney Appreciation Day' in the Hilltop City.

Kinney, a Summit resident for nearly 35 years, was heralded for  honored for her efforts in bringing many engineering achievements to her department along with spearheading the city’s communications plan.

She also held leadership roles with the Summit Junior League and the Summit Educational Foundation, and was a founding member of both the Summit Free Market and Summit Senior Connections, which brought the senior citizen bus service to the community.
