Yaycare, a new app that allows parents to book open spots on-demand at licensed daycares and preschools, has launched their pilot program in Union County.
The Yaycare app allows parents to search, book and pay for open spots at trusted child care centers, in just a few clicks. Parents can book one day or up to two weeks at a time, and some centers allow for same-day bookings for those last minute childcare emergencies.
Yaycare is unique because it's the first app to let parents book flexible childcare at top rated, licensed daycares and preschools. Yaycare’s launch partners include Superkids, Lightbridge Academy of Westfield, Kinderprep, Lightbridge Academy of Fanwood, and Kiddie Academy of Watchung Square, with more centers being added throughout the summer.
Yaycare was created by a Scotch Plains mom who was frustrated by the lack of flexible childcare options. “As a new mom, I realized that finding childcare can be a full-time job,” said Jen Greenspan, Founder and CEO of Yaycare. “I also realized that most child care centers aren’t filled to capacity every day, so why not create a platform that allows parents to easily book those open spots on-demand?”
Jen also notes that Yaycare isn’t just for infants and toddlers. “Some centers offer camp programs for older kids (6+) during school breaks!”
Why would parents use Yaycare?
- Book flexible childcare at licensed centers (only pay for the days you need!)
- Book backup childcare (school closed? nanny sick? last minute meeting?)
- Book camps for summer and school breaks for kids of all ages
- Test out different child care centers before choosing your favorite for full-time care
The Yaycare app is free to download and available for iOS and Android. To download or learn more about Yaycare, please visit www.Yaycare.App. Please email Jen Greenspan at Jen@Yaycare.App if you have any questions.
