Jennifer Lynn Holmes Sullivan, 45, of Summit, NJ, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving husband, children, parents and beloved Bailey.

She was born May 17, 1972 in Huntington, NY, the daughter of Rosalie and Thomas Holmes and granddaughter of the Boston Braves own Tommy Holmes. Jenna graduated from Rocky Point Junior / Senior High School, Class of 1990, where she was a standout Drum Majorette and the lead in the Sound of Music, Jenna continued her education and graduated from Ithaca College in 1994 with a degree in Theatre Management. Jenna found the love of her life Robert Sullivan while they were both student’s at Ithaca. Jenna and Robert were married on August 28, 1999 in Easthampton, NY. Robert and Jenna moved to NYC in 1996 where she started her career with Goldman Sachs in the human resources department. In 2000, they moved to Summit, NJ, and started their family. Her daughter Isabelle was born 2002, and was soon followed by Jack in 2004. She continued her career with Deloitte and was their Campus Recruiting Leader at the time of her passing.

In her spare time Jenna was a passionate volunteer and served as Provisional Chair of the Summit Junior Fortnightly Club and later took the helm as their President. She served on the Board of Summit Educational Foundation and dedicated countless hours to school activities and events at both Washington Elementary School and the Summit Middle / High School. While she was fighting her battle with cancer, she participated in fundraising efforts to raise money for rare cancers with the Soul Cycle Rare Cancer Fundraiser. She created the “Sock it to Cancer” sock drive and successfully delivered more than 1,000 pairs of socks to children and adults fighting cancer.

Jenna was best known for her infectious smile, her burst of laughter and her deep love of all things Bravo TV. Wherever Jenna was, is where everyone else wanted to be, she was a human rolodex and no matter the situation, she would pause and then respond, "I know just the person you should talk to“ as she shot off an immediate text to make the connection. Her group of friends spread the town, city and country. The most fascinating thing about Jenna was everyone knew her through a different circle but somehow she tied the ends together. Her greatest love was her family and she is survived by her husband Robert Sullivan of Summit NJ; her two children, Isabelle and Jack; her parents Thomas and Rosalie Holmes of Lauderdale by the Sea, FL; her brother Thomas (Meghan) Holmes of Amsterdam, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and countless nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave. Summit, NJ. Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
